Jason Markham

Jason is an authority in international media and corporate transactions, with more than two decades of experience advising global media companies, sports leagues, and distribution platforms on complex rights agreements and internal investigations.

He counsels clients on both transactional and strategic litigation matters related to exclusive media rights and other corporate agreements, developing practical, business-focused solutions. His interdisciplinary practice—grounded in experience with cross-border M&A and finance transactions in Latin America—enables him to craft integrated strategies that address legal, regulatory, and operational challenges across emerging markets.

His matters often involve joint ventures, acquisitions, and long-term distribution and content licensing relationships.  He co-founded the firm with Scott in 2023. Earlier in his career, he served as in-house programming counsel at DIRECTV and practiced at Cleary Gottlieb, where he advised on capital markets, M&A, and sovereign debt restructurings. Prior to law school, Jason worked for the U.S. State Department and taught English in a public school in Santiago, Chile. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Cornell University.
